This is one page for calculation purposes, with about 1500 characters
A standard page consists of 1500 characters with spaces and the characters are counted in the translated text. It corresponds to the following parameters: font 12 points, line spacing 1.5, side margins 2.5 cm. On average this gives 25 lines with 60 characters per page. This is why an A4 sheet in small print could in fact be over 2 standard pages. One page for the purpose of calculating a certified translation contains – in accordance with a Ministry of Justice Order - 1125 characters with spaces.
How to estimate the number of pages a document contains?
Word for Windows: menu “Tools” - “Word statistics” - “Characters with spaces”. Divide the number of characters given by 1500 to obtain the size of the source text. Texts in the form of a printout: count the amount of characters in a single line (with spaces) and multiply by the number of lines on the page. This approximate number of characters multiply by the number of pages, and then divide by 1500.
In the case of untypical texts, e.g. illustration descriptions, charts or lists, we will estimate for free the amount of text prior to translation.
The price of the completed translation is based on the size of the text after translation, therefore the size of the source and translation may differ by several percent.
